Monkey Bike

One of the things I like about riding a vespa is you often get to see interesting stuff while sat astride the seat and also bump into other folk who have a liking for 'Italian shopping bikes' and other such transport.

Riding home last night I passed this guy pushing his monkey bike along the pavement; I circled around and asked if I could take a foto. Turns out the unfortunate Thierry had broken down and was walking his ride back home. Thierry told me the monkey bike was actually a Chinese copy and he also owns a Vespa Cosa. Thierry originally hails from Corsica - given the cooler, wet weather we're currently having I know where I'd rather be given the choice..

Like I say, funny who you run into, vespa ownership seems to often throw up these opportunities.

Thierry - thanks for letting me photograph your bike and hope you got home okay ; )
