Veteran Vespa Club Rally - Canterbury 2013

GS150 VS4 by vespamore photography

The weekend of 11-14th July sees the Veteran Vespa Club's 50th official annual rally taking place in Canterbury, Kent.

VVC events tend to be more relaxed, laid back affairs with a 1950s style ambience prevailing. There is always a very nice array of classic older vespas present (original & restored), GS 150s & 160s can regularly be seen alongside SS180s & a few of the older '50s models too.

Their July rally always presents a problem for me as it usually falls on the weekend of my other half's birthday but I'll try to get along if only briefly; I always enjoy these events for a more chilled out take on the UK's scootering scene.

I took the above film shot at the VVC's Painswick rally in 2009, centre of shot is a very nice just restored at the time GS150 VS5 - view full set here

You can see what's in store at this year's Canterbury event by clicking this link here posted on the VVC's FB group page.
