Old Retrospective shot

I believe I'm right in saying this classy shot was taken for Retrospective Scooters quite a few years back now. I used to see it in the Retrospective shop in Hornsey, London, N8 - I think there may even be a faded, 'dog-eared' print of it still on the shop's wall...

I absolutely love this shot & have always admired it; not sure of the photographer's name but will update this post if I find out....

Incidentally, Retrospective Scooters will have a stall at the upcoming London World Vespa Days event where they will be carrying out repairs to visitors' vespas; parts are chargeable but labour will be free.

Vespa VBA

Liking this VBA shot; particularly the way it's framed in the window/door recess. The vespa's 'submarine' grey paint is nicely set off by the white/black painted wall & blue/green glass panels too....

It belongs to a London based vespamore blog follower who'd rather remain incognito, which is fine by me; I'm just grateful to receive a quality shot to add to the blog - so thanks very much!

Veteran Vespa Club Ashfields event

The scooter club I belong to, Veteran Vespa Club are hosting their Ashfields rally in Essex this coming weekend, 18th - 20th May, may go if weather is reasonable. VVC rallies are always good for seeing some great classic vespa eye candy, including un-restored & restored examples of older models not seen too often these days.

The above shot was taken (not by me) during VVC's Cheddar rally in May 2011; this is the rideout passing through Cheddar Gorge en route to the Kingswood museum; site of the Douglas works in Bristol where Piaggio licensed vespas were once assembled & manufactured.
