EmmeBi Design 'Citybox' e vespe

Other than indulging my love of classic vespas with my film photography & blog, I do actually have a 'day job' which is selling modern furniture (mostly Italian & Scandinavian) in London.

One of the companies our shop supplies is Italian manufacturer EmmeBi Design, located in Cesano Maderno, north of Milan. They produce a range of lacquered & veneered 'system' or modular furniture for bedrooms & living rooms, such as wardrobes, sideboards, bookcases etc. One of their ranges which I really like is 'Citybox', shown above with steel doors & three neat louvres cut in to the top & bottom of each door, giving a very clean almost industrial feel to them. These can be used in bedrooms as wardrobes, in a living area or even an office, with various internal fittings available such as adjustable shelves, hanging rails & pull-out filing inserts for suspended files.

In Emmebi's main brochure & also shown on their website is this great image, which looks like a pristine, Über-cool Vespa garage with the 'Citybox' cabinets acting as storage for tyres & tools etc, flanked by Piaggio & Corradino D'Ascanio's icon of industrial design, the Gran Sport GS150 Vespa.

Thanks very much to Sabrina Riva at EmmeBi Design for allowing me to use their image for the vespamore photography blog.

Also you can see examples below of EmmeBi's range displayed on their stand at the 2011 Milan furniture fair...
