Arthur Francis Trialmaster 110 replica

I don't always get Scootering magazine these days but picked up a copy yesterday after being taken with this lovely Arthur Francis Trialmaster 110 replica, adorning the front cover.

I won't tell the story here of Peter Didl's beautiful SS90 replica as you can read it in full in October's Scootering - issue 316. Briefly though, Austrian Peter is a fan of smallframe vespas, having customized several models before trying something different with this AF replica, the result is outstanding & unlike anything else out there as far as I know.

The above beautifully taken fotos were actually re-blogged from the GSF (German Scooter Forum) here & presumably taken by Peter himself...? I tried translating the German text on the GSF blog post but it didn't really make sense; however there are some links to pdf files of Arthur Francis original literature & brochures regarding this dealer special which make a nice addition to this restoration.

I hadn't realised Arthur Francis really got involved with vespas; being very well renowned for his Lambretta dealer specials & racing team - Team S Equipe. My friend David Hardy has set up the excellent Team S Equipe website, dedicated to the Arthur Francis race team - check it out.
