Chelsea auto legends
Sunday 4th September 2011
This year’s Chelsea AutoLegends on Sunday 4th September will be turning back the clocks fifty years. It will be marking the golden anniversary with special displays dedicated to some of the iconic race and road cars that were all the rage in swinging London, as the drab post war years of the Forties and Fifties were swept aside by a far happier decade that spawned flower power, the Beatles plus, of course, the mini skirt. The Sixties were all about fun with the UK – and notably Chelsea – leading the world in fashion, design and pop music.
As well as a World Cup winning national soccer team, the fun-loving decade also spawned four British F1 World Champions: Jim Clark, Graham Hill, John Surtees and Jackie Stewart who raced British built cars from legendary marques such as Cooper, BRM, Lotus and Brabham. Many of these revered grand prix machines will be reliving their glory years at Chelsea AutoLegends, along with some of the heroic drivers who raced them.
There will be some very nice classic bikes display as well as cars. Tickets are £15 each pre-booked, follow link to Chelsea auto legends website below...

Not really into portraits, I prefer classic vehicles as you may have noticed ! When I take portraits I prefer them to be candid.

Cool camping...
Saw this excellent shot by cromacom via Poler's website http://www.polerstuff.com/ & blog http://poler.tumblr.com/
Check out their website for some great camping gear & their blog for adventures & some great photography too...
Here's how Poler describe themselves:
POLER CAMPING STUFF makes sleeping bags, tents, bags, and accessories that is simple, good looking, well designed gear for people that are travelers, couch surfers, regular surfers, skateboarders, snowboarders, bicyclists, parents, kids, car campers and anyone else looking for something that looks good, is a good value and is all about having fun on road trips and in the outdoors. It’s stuff that is made for people that have adventures all over the world while wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers. It’s for people that wonder why everyone is trying to pretend they are going to do first ascents on alpine peaks instead of celebrating the fact that they are having adventures that are awesome in their own way.

Little Dragon
Have been listening to a lot of Little Dragon lately; you may have heard their 'Ritual Union' single recently, here in the UK anyway. It's cool stuff, check out their website here
http://little-dragon.net/
Wikipedia's Little Dragon intro below:
Little Dragon are a Swedish electronic band, formed in Gothenburg in 1996.[3] It consists of Swedish-Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion) and her close high school friends Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Källgren Wallin (bass) and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards). Little Dragon's first release was the double A-side 7" single "Twice"/"Test", released on the Off the Wall label in 2006. The following year, the band signed with the larger British indie label Peacefrog Records and released their self-titled debut album Little Dragon on 27 August 2007.[4] Their second album, Machine Dreams, was released on 17 August 2009, followed by their third album, Ritual Union, released on 25 July 2011.[4]
Since then, the band have toured throughout Europe and have also made music videos for the songs "Test", "Twice", "Constant Surprises", "After the Rain" and "Fortune". The double A-side single "Fortune"/"Blinking Pigs" was released in the UK on 26 January 2009. Their song "Twice" was featured in an episode of the fifth season of ABC's Grey's Anatomy. In late 2009, the group was chosen as one of Beyond Race Magazine's "50 Emerging Artists", resulting in a spot in the publication's eleventh issue as well as an exclusive online Q&A on the magazine's site.[5]
The band's name was inspired by the "Little Dragon" nickname Nagano earned due to the "fuming tantrums" she used to throw while recording in the studio. "It's a little exaggerated but there is some truth in it", Nagano said. "But we've grown up a bit and I realised you can't have a fit every day because otherwise you won't be able to stand each other."[6]

The Graduate
One of my all time fave films - The Graduate (along with Midnight Cowboy). Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft, the Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider, Simon & Garfunkel's soundtrack..... looks & sounds so great!
Almost everyone must have seen The Graduate but if you haven't you must...

GANZO
GANZO is Italian slang for: Cool, beautiful, original, the best.
GANZO is also a very cool online magazine that shares a unique vision of the Italian lifestyle.
GANZO have been kind enough to add vespamore to their list of blogs they like - thanks Ganzo ; ) Below is Ganzo magazine's own description about themselves. Have a read & then check out their website at:
http://www.ganzomag.com/
collaborative • glocal • innovative • creative • current
GANZO is not your nonna’s magazine. You won’t find spaghetti with red sauce and meatballs, mandolin music, family trees, or gratuitous images of the leaning tower of Pisa. There is already enough of that online.
Instead, our international experiences left us searching the internet for a place where Italophiles, no matter where they live, could share news on Italian taste, style, happenings and people. From the U.S. to Japan, Italians living abroad are building a vision of Italian style as a blend of innovation, creativity, and ingenuity, rather than a geographic reality. GANZO explores this vision by creating a community-authored space where Italian culture, lifestyle and design remain elegant and visionary, but at the same time develop globally.
As an international community of bloggers, journalists, photographers, videographers, foodies, and design gurus we map the best of Italy beyond its borders. Featuring rising chefs, innovative architects and new tech products we focus on the timeless quality of Italian style. Original and beautiful, this uniqueness is difficult to summarize in one word, so we call it simply ganzo.
