Vroom Vroom

Was riding down Park Lane on my Vespa last week & spotted this installation by Lorenzo Quinn as part of London's City of Sculpture Festival.

The four-metre high sculpture called 'Vroom Vroom' features a vintage Fiat 500 grasped by an out-sized aluminium child's hand.

The artist, the son of the late actor Anthony Quinn, has installed his piece in central London's Park Lane as part of the City of Sculpture Festival, and says it is intended to remind observers of childlike excitement.

Nice Mercedes 280SL 'Pagoda' spotted in London, January '11. All taken with my Olympus OM10 manual SLR on 35mm film. First shot is a wee bit blurred but I like the composition - although it was taken hand held at dusk on a 1-second shutter speed & wasn't isn't easy to keep still !
