Vespa 125U

Vespa 125U by Vespamore !
Vespa 125U taken by me at Eurovespa 2006 Torino

Only 7,000 copies of the U Vespa scooter were ever produced, making this model one of the rarest & most sought after by collectors. Created in 1953 as the economic vespa - the letter "U" stands for utilizzare (utility) & was designed to counteract competition from Lambretta, selling at a price of $110. For the first time the headlight was mounted on the handlebars instead of the front mudguard.
